Chicken with 40 Cloves Garlic
Description Chicken wiht 40 cloves of garlic, a classic recipe for the oven that comes out just as good from the crock pot.

  • 1 3 lb roasting chicken, giblets removed and ready to cook
  • 40 cloves garlic
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • salt
  • pepper
Methods/steps
  1. Place the 40 cloves of garlic in your crock pot. Season the chicken with salt and pepper and lay it on top of the garlic.
  2. Pour the broth over the chicken.
  3. Cover and cook in the low setting for 6-8 hours.
  4. To serve, slice the chicken and transfer to a serving plate. Squeeze the soft, cooked garlic into a small bowl - no skin - and serve on the side, as a spread, with toasted bread
