Ingredients
At a glance
- 2 lb Cranberries
- 8 oz Onions; chopped
- 5 oz White wine vinegar
- 10 oz Sugar
- 1 tsp Salt
- Place into a muslin bag;
- 6 Allspice berries
- 4 Cloves
- 10 Black peppercorns
- 1 cinnamon stick, about 2 inch long
Methods/steps
- In 10 oz of water, bring the cranberries and onions to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until cranberries bursts and onions are tender.
- Push through a food mill.
- Place the puree into a saucepan with the remaining ingredients, bring to just a boil, then reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes.
- Remove bag and allow to cool.
