Ingredients
At a glance
- 5 pounds of currants, picked from the stem and crushed
- 3 pounds of brown sugar
- 3/4 pint of vinegar
- 1 tablespoonful of cinnamon
- 1 teaspoonful of cloves.
- 1 tablespoonful of allspice
Methods/steps
Mix all ingredients together in a large pot, bring to a hard boil, and boil for 1 hour, stirring often.
