Best Wine for Civet

I want to cook a civet. Which wine should I use?

Civet is a savory game stew, usually prepared with furred game, like rabbit or hare, marinated in wine and flavored with mushrooms and onions. It is best to use a full bodied red wine to grant a tender meat. Contrary to popular belief, cooking wine should be of the best possible quality.
