Cholesterol and Beer

Is beer high in cholesterol?

From: Sue C

No, beer is not high in cholesterol -in fact, it does not have any at all- but it affects the liver -where 75% of cholesterol in our blood is produced- because of its alcohol content.

Enjoy beer, but in moderation -it has been mentioned that drinking beer in moderation may help lower cholesterol- as surely too much beer could affect your liver function and make your cholesterol level much worse. You better keep your liver healthy.
