Apple Pie (No Sugar)

Description

A sweet pie with no added sugar for the filling to help those on a low sugar diet.

Ingredients

4 c
apple (peeled and sliced)
1⁄2 c
apple juice (frozen concentrate, undiluted)
2 t
cornstarch (or tapioca)
1  
pie crust (top and bottom)

Instructions

  1. Mix apples and all ingredients until well coated. Pour into pastry shell and top with pastry.
  2. Bake at 425°F for 40-45 minutes.

Notes

Remove toothpicks, dust with confectioner’s sugar and serve with ice cream.

Rolls freeze well and will keep for up to two months. Reheat in oven at 325ºF (160º) until warm.
